Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is responsible for developing, updating and monitoring the communications policies, the LWVH website, all social networking accounts and press releases. The committee also develops a comprehensive strategy to effectively communicate with LWVH members and other interested parties about all LWVH activities.
Objectives:
Develop a comprehensive strategy using media to communicate LWVH news timely and effectively
Create, maintain and update the LWVH website
Review, revise and enforce social media policies
Engage and monitor identified social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter
Provide press releases to appropriate media about LWVH activities
Accomplishments:
Created a new and improved website which includes following:
Provides information to the public about LWVH mission, goals, activities and other relevant information
Provides easy access to join and donate to LWVH using computer based forms and PayPal
Developed a members only website that provides members with specific information
Serves as a long-term storage of all LWVH appropriate documents
Developed and increased Facebook presence
Strong presence in local media (Hudson Hub Times) about LWVH activities

Post and monitor appropriate postings on Facebook
Aid LWVH Board members in updating website information
Write articles for local media about LWVH activities
Educate members about use of various social media platforms to enhance LWVH presence

Nonpartisan Policy:
